FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS ————————————————-

FishNChips Entertainment was formed in 2006 by cartoonist/surreal humorist  Tommy Null, who had at that point been making comic strips and written humor of that nature for a year or two already, in more hobby-oriented, less serious projects.

Capitalising on the idea of a group of people, each pitching ideas to create a single character all-around, an idea that was really productive during the early goes at Greek dramas, then again notably in the “golden age” of cinema, the 20’s-30’s. Tommy gathered a few close friends  and began writing some comic strips under several assumed names, often on printer paper. The first to really work with Tommy was his childhood friend and counterpart in the “Odyssey” advanced class, Joe Stone, owner of DEEN Comics.

As the years went by, Tommy’s interest in the arts never waned, and came back EN FORCE  in 2008, when he got his first computer-based animation software, Pivot. Exploiting the use of imported .bmp images, he arranged realtime-flash, albeit lackluster flash. He took the pseudonym DW Merritt, which is a mixture of controversial director DW Griffith, and singer/multi-instrumentalist Stephin Merritt, though if you abbreviate the name, it is the comedic D. Merritt, which is a bastardization of Demerit, which is a punishment in public school, and that spawned the unofficial birth of what would later become Sunday Morning Animation. He also goes by 100s of other pseudonyms, such as Marcel Mogwai, Abu Ahmet, Jim Slavery, and Velvet the Wonderfaggot.

This gives him the confidence to get more animation software, and in the early summer of 2009, Tommy teamed up with junior high classmate Marcus A., who has since taken the name box., and began arranging a new cartoon in the down-time after the frustration of making a Star Trek parody series called Living Space, which ultimately never saw the light of day, as was the case with several other videos. Tommy (DW) then met Ryan Savage,  and between the three of then, the writing process was underway.

What came of this show was an idea called Living Evil, a cartoon about the sad lives of four retired supervillains called the League of Dismay, living in the mundane reality of life, but with a creative surrealist twist.

Let me start from the beginning…

Tommy N., aka DW Merritt, aka The Big Fish, Owner, Sunday Morning Animation.

THE BOOK OF TOMMY ————————————————

HEAD OF THE USS DUKE-RPRISE ,

FOUNDER AND CEO———-

Tommy is 17 years old, spent his early life in a remarkably unstable household. This lead to his interest in the minutia of artwork, where his mind could act while his body hibernated from the stress of the day-to-day.

This comedic and jovial nonsense slowed and numbed the impact of self hatred and his parents’ nasty divorce. It seemed the only time Tommy was happy was when someone else was,  his appreciation of the arts became a full-blown obsession, as did his love for larger-than-life personalities like those older films he enjoyed.

Comedic masterpieces, and fantasy animation and films, prepared a then young Tommy for the growth of his imagination, which was growing at an alarming rate. Highly advanced in several subjects, Tommy excelled in early school, but found no ‘love’ from his peers. Self-esteem issues bittered Tommy at an early age. Tommy soon began to explore the boundaries of the human psyche, his ability to create and develop ideas of his own was enough to make him comedic and humorous on his own. Movies like Alice in Wonderland, the Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, and his still-favorite, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, made it possible for Tommy to visualize his mental images on paper and through a raconteur-ish live performance, his storytelling made their way to paper and became ideas for comics and drawings. At a still reasonably young age, Tommy was exposed to increasingly intelligent comedy, watching  highly variant varieties of comedy from the likes of George Carlin, the Marx Brothers, and Charlie Chaplin, whose “The Great Dictator” remains Tommy’s favorite black and white comedy. This was the beginning of a truly original blend of scathing satire and childish innocence which has become trademark in Tommy’s works.

Homeschooled since the seventh grade, with brief intermissions of public education never lasting longer than 8 monthes, after brushes with unjust authority truly had a lasting impact on Tommy. This bureaucracy of privilege interrupted an already emotionally harmed Tommy, and his biting critiques of society and the upper class, polished preps, as well as the “macho” eugenics models that assembled the football team and basketball, etcetera, were sharpened, not into violence, but comedy. This has continued, and this anger at the world, combined with a childish love of the surreal and an advance knowledge of the social lexicon and the pop culture history aforementioned, have led to the partnership with several talented writers and artists, politicians, musicians, and comedians to create LIVING EVIL. Tommy is currently a manic depressive flight risk with crippling paranoia.

THE BOOK  OF MARC ————————————————————- Co-Owner HiveCo Productions, CHAIRMAN OF THE BORED , HEAD WRITER ————————–

Marcus A. is the head writer for Living Evil. Born March 16th, 1994, at St. Louis Somethin’ Somethin’ Hospital (A respectable place too), self-proclaimed Stud Muffin, is a comedic writer, and freelance nerd from the mean streets of Pathetic Misery (Formerly known as Pacific, Missouri.) He is a very funny fellow, and a well rounded guy to boot. He enjoys listening to music, his taste is quite eclectic.

Fun Fact: Marc is the owner of the Yoko Ono fan club!

Marcus writes extremely well when bouncing ideas off of me, Tommy, because his imagination is very productive, it comes up with ideas at a factory pace, with the untamed, unbridled mental artwork of me, Marcus really CAN and DOES contribute when the time comes. Though, the writing is done for the first episode, he is adjourning to his hobbies until episode two;

He enjoys video games, like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Elder Scrolls, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, The Sims, Bard’s Tale, Runescape, and the Atari games Pitfall! and Save Mary (I made some gross-ass looking but surprisingly delicious green piles of semi-cooked pancake batter and called them “Save Mary-cakes”. Delicious.) He has two siblings, Moldy the Sex Octopus, and Muggins the Moody Warlock of the Seventh Circle of Hell, and lives with his mother, and her boyfriend Captain Billy Beardyface the Hairy Hobbit of  Cartridge World.

THE BOOK OF RYAN —————————————-

THE LOVE MACHINE, Staff Writer ——————————–

Ryan Savage, 17 years old, who has gone by a wide variety of monikers, notably Spanky the Woman-Tamer, was born in a log cabin in the woods. Naw, I am just fucking with you. He was born In St. Louis, the child of Marsha and Doc Savage. His childhood was literally loaded with activity, in fact in one instance, he was quoted as saying he did “nothing.” as a child. He is a fan of film since an early age, he has a massive mental catalogue of movies going back to his infancy. His psychological register holds thousands upon thousands of films, video games, and television shows.

His hero is Ian James Corlett, aka Mega Man. :)

Homeschooled since the ripe old age of 8, Ryan is the perfect mental counterpart to Tommy, often the most spontaneous of the Hive of Dukes,  he is an avid video gamer. He was once quoted as saying his favorite video game was “Call of Duty: World at War” He plays a lot of internet RPGs, and its okay if you make fun of him for playing Runescape. Hobbies include listening to loud music. He can usually be found in and out of women across the continent.——————————
